The Things I Have Missed!

I have missed the Midwest and home in so many ways! California was an interesting experience and good to the extent that God taught me SO much! But I will never list California as an enjoyable place to live. In fact not enjoyable at all. There are so many things that I have missed about the Midwest, disliked about living in California, and look forward to having again!

My list:

1. Family! I miss living close enough to seem them super often!
2. Friends! I miss being close to you too!
3. Time change; I hate being three hours behind because everyone is napping or going to bed by the time I have a chance to call and talk!
4. Friendly and open people! Californians are so cold and unfriendly! 
5. Hanging out at peoples' houses; Californians rarely do this! Its like a couple times a year!
6. Countryside! Living in a city can be super exhausting and clastrophobic!
7. The stars! A thousand stars twinkling in the night sky! Here all you see is 15-20 airplanes flashing their lights. I miss my host of friends and the tranquilty they brought.
8. Sincerity and Honesty; they lie so much to your face here about everything.
9. People skills; I miss people who really were good with other people!
10. Christian radio station! There is only one Chrsitian radio station out here and its AM, so if you like only talking, then its great! I don't like it!
11. Super Walmarts close by! Here we have to travel 60 minutes one direction to a Super Walmart!
12. Healthy churches in my city; there aren't really any healthy ones here in Redwood City. There are in other cities.
13. People who are willing to drive a half hour! People here think its super far to drive a half hour. So silly!
14. Real Relationships! That comes down to lots of very superficial relationships here.
15. Holidays with family! I really miss holidays with family! More than words can express...
16. Good spiritual mentors and lots of people who at least believe in Jesus Christ. They are in short amounts out here!
17. Being loved entirely quickly; people are slow to love out here.
18. Just good ol' long conversations with lots of details in stories! Here its just the cliff note versions!
19. Cheaper groceries! Its so expensive here!
20. WEATHER! Its just constantly blue skies, mild temperatures almost all year long. Hardly any rain storms (1-5 a year), hardly any rainy days (30-50 days), and nothing else!
21. Seasons! I miss Fall and Winter. It seems to be Summer and Spring here all year long.
22. Space! Its so crammed in here!
23. 22. Big yards! The yards here are tiny compared to the Midwest.
24. Community; there really isn't any community out here.
25. Down to earth people! Californians are elitests and its super into owning things.
26. Conservative people! I'd say 50% of the people here, AT LEAST, are very liberal.
27. Trees and nature! I miss having old huge trees right where I live and all over the place. Concrete gets old fast!

I think that sums it up.
